Gina Torres Will Appear in Next Season of Gossip Girl
As the new season of Gossip Girl is getting closer, more and more good news are coming about the show.
Several new characters are being added to CW’s popular series, one of them is actress Gina Torres, who has previously known for her roles on Alias and Dirty Sexy Money. 40-year-old Torres will play the role of Gabriela Abrams, the mother of Jessica Szohr’s character, Vanessa Abrams.
Her character is said to be a free-spirited woman, who lives “off the grid” in Vermont. She will also have some strong opinions about her daughter, who will be a freshman at New York University along with her longtime friend Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) and former Queen Bee, Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester).
Torres, who’s also the wife of actor Laurence Fishburne, is set to appear on two episodes and then will return during the third season, which premieres September 14. Ooh, I can’t wait to see those Upper East Siders again!
