Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Although yesterday’s result of who’s sitting in the top of box office is still a tie, but today we got the winner, and it’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
The final battle of the sequels showed the robot aliens scored $42.3 million to $41.7 million that Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs took. With that results, the action movie that was directed by Michael Bay is back on top for two weeks in a row.
On yesterday’s estimation, both movies tied at $42.5 million. But in the end, Sid, Manny and Diego surrender to Bumblebee and Optimus Prime with $1 million short of projections. Although Exhibitor Relations box office analyst Jeff Bock thought Ice Age 3 will won the battle, he had the logic explanation of the position. He said, “Obviously, the Fourth of July weekend hurt it. It looked like it carried over into Sunday, too.”
Well, I think both movies are awesome in different genres. Congrats again, Transformers!
