Last night, the dance journey hit the end of the road for Lil Kim.

The rapper -whose real name Kimberly Denise Jones- was eliminated, leaving the stage with professional partner Derek Hough, as one of the top five contestants (and her highest achievement) in Dancing With the Stars.

Lil Kim had consistently earned high scores throughout the competition, and although on her last performance she stumbled a few times during her waltz, but it wasn’t that bad. She got the week’s second-lowest score, 52 points out of 60, while rodeo champ Ty Murray sitting at the bottom with 46.

But unfortunately, Ty Murray’s fans are stronger than Lil Kim’s. Because, even with the lowest score Murray got, his supporters successfully sent Murray reach the fourth spot in next week’s semifinals. Viewer votes are combined with judges’ scores to determine which couple is eliminated each week, but it still wasn’t enough to keep Lil Kim on the competition.

With her leaving, praises were given. Head judge, Len Goodman said the rapper “has been one of the best dancers” ever to appear on the show. Lil Kim kept a smile while saying her goodbye, “This is one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever experienced in my life. because I brought people who never watched the show.”

Her ex-partner, Derek Hough said that the 33-year-old rapper has been one of his favorites, and also said that she’s an amazing person, an amazing soul, amazing spirit and an amazing dancer.

Murray will join three other celebrities to compete in next week’s semifinal round: Actor Gilles Marini, Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson and “The Bachelor” star Melissa Rycroft.
