Matt Giraud Hits the Finish Line on American Idol
Matt Giraud Eliminated From American Idol
And then, there were four.
Matt Giraud is the latest member in the list of kicked Idol. The piano player was not saved this week, unlike two weeks ago when he was rescued by the show’s judges.
Last night is the night where hopes of 23-year-old Giraud to be the next American Idol flew out of the window. On Tuesday, Giraud sang the rendition of Frank Sinatra’s My Funny Valentine, since this week’s theme was “Rat Pack.” Too bad, his performance not favorable for the audiences, as he received the fewest viewer votes.
At the start of the result show, host Ryan Seacrest split the top 5; where Giraud and Kris Allen on one side, Danny Gokey and Allison Iraheta on the other. He then made Adam Lambert to choose which group he thought he belonged in. Lambert picked Gokey and Iraheta, but, no no no! Lambert was sent to the other group, as one of the bottom three with Giraud and Allen.
Allen then sent to safety, leaving Lambert and Giraud as the bottom two. Wow, Lambert in the bottom two? intense. Well, the fortune Goddess still in Lambert’s side this time, because Giraud was the one who sent home. “I’ll definitely remember being the cat with nine lives up here,” Giraud said after his dismissal.
Next week, the four remaining finalists will perform rock ‘n’ roll songs, which i believe will have interesting performances from Allen, Gokey, Iraheta and Lambert. The clock is ticking, only two weeks before the two-part finale. Who will be the next American Idol? Stay tune here!
