A new addition in Jill Scott’s family.

R&B singer/actress Jill Scott and her fiancé, drummer Lil John Roberts, have welcomed their first child on Monday. The baby boy was born at 4:20 p.m. on April 20, weighed in 7 pounds, 8 ounces. The couple named him Jett Hamilton Roberts.

Scott revealed that she was expecting during the Television Critics Association convention in January. She was later spent her first trimester in Botswana, filming her latest acting gig as Botswanan detective Precious Ramotswe in HBO’s adaptation of novelist Alexander McCall Smith’s No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series. The three-time Grammy winner continued filming through her pregnancy, despite all of her morning sicknesses.

While married to her first husband Lyzel Williams, 37-year-old Scott have been unable to get pregnant during that five-year marriage. But then finally, Scott got her precious son with Roberts, the man she engaged to last June.
