Last season winner of American Idol, David Cook gave announcement on his web site that he canceled his two shows; a Monday and Tuesday college campus shows in New Hampshire and Connecticut. But the singer hoping to continue his tour later this week.

The reason of the cancellation was said personal family matters, but 26-year-old Cook didn’t give any details about what exactly the matter is. Reports said it might linked to Cook’s brother, Adam, that has been battling brain cancer for over a decade.

According to his rep, Cook is scheduled to appear on American Idol’s Spectacular Show on Wednesday, in a taped performance. After that, the former bartender is also planning to get back on the road Thursday.

Cook’s “The Declaration” tour are currently scheduled through October. He still got more cities to go, so don’t worry fans!
