will.i.am, Fergie, apl.de.ap and Taboo are going to release their fifth studio album in June 9, 2009. The long anticipated album will be entitled The END, a uniquely named album that is actually the acronym of The Energy Never Dies. This album will be the group’s first awakening since their Grammy-winning Monkey Business album that was released back in 2005.
The first single of the album is said to be Boom Boom Pow, although there was a different clip of song that was leaked December last year, called Imma Be. Group frontman, will.i.am said that the album describes his model for a project that will be living and frequently updated throughout its designated cycle. He also said the album will have “a lot of dance stuff, real melodic, electronic, soulful. We call it, like, electric static funk, something like that.”
BEP also plan to have a world tour in conjunction with the release of the album, which stands for The Energy Never Dies, though dates and cities have yet to be confirmed. About the tour plan, will.i.am explained in an interview once, saying that Fergie has told him that “our show needs to be fuckin’ ridiculous this time. We need to put together a monster show.” He added, “So I’m gonna hold her to that and we’re gonna follow her lead and really knock ‘em out.”
