Get Ready For Taylor Swift’s First Headline Tour!
It’s Taylor Swift once again, readers! If in the previous news we were talking about her future sundresses that will hit Wal-Marts very soon, this time is about Swift’s plan for a tour.
The top-selling singer of 2008 has announced her first headlining tour, which will take her to 52 cities over the U.S. and Canada for six months. Fearless Tour 2009 is the result of a very successful second album of hers, it has topped the Billboard chart for the past eight weeks. The tour will officially kicks off on April 23 in Evansville, Indiana. Swift will be accompanied by American Idol finalist Kellie Pickler (whom she met in 2007 when they toured with Brad Paisley and soon became BFF) as a featured artist.
In the lead-up to that show, Pennsylvania-born Swift will warm up with club performances and shows at smaller venues such as a Florida strawberry festival and a livestock show and rodeo in Texas. The singer’s show will feature multiple costume changes and an illuminated fairy-castle. Swift calls her future tour as “a dream come true.”
And just like her affordable sundresses, in the thought of her fans, this 19-year-old cutie plans to start ticket prices for her tour at around $20 in most markets. As she hopefully said, “I want to be sure that everyone has the opportunity to come see my show.” Her recording record, Big Machine Records, also said that Swift will play five different guitars at each show, plus the piano.
After Evansville, Swift’s tour stops will include Seattle, Los Angeles, New York and Chicago; and smaller cities such as Calgary in Canada and Lafayette in Louisiana. The tour ends on October 10 in Minneapolis. For a complete tour schedule, check her official site.
Let’s get Fearless!
