In the celebration of her 27th birthday, Britney Spears had a ‘Circus’ going on.

Yesterday, the singer performing songs from her new album, respectively titled Circus, under the Big Apple Circus tent in Manhattan for ABC breakfast show Good Morning America. She’s also unveiling plans for a 2009 tour, consists of a 26-city North American tour, starting in New Orleans on March 3, and two concerts in London in June.

Spears was dressed as a ringmaster, made her entrance atop a circus wagon. Of course, to completed the theme, she was accompanied by clowns, jugglers and performers dressed as circus animals. The event also marked the launch of Spears’s sixth studio album, Circus, a followup to her 2007 comeback step, Blackout.

Among the guest gathered inside the circus tent, there are Britney’s mom and her two young sons; Preston and Jayden James. Spears also greeted for her birthday from the stars of Hollywood, such as; Resse Witherspoon, John Travolta, Nicollette Sheridan, Teri Hatcher and PEOPLE’s 2008 Sexiest Man Alive, Hugh Jackman. Jackman even sang “Happy Birthday” and blew her a kiss.

Fans outside the tent very excited about her comeback. A 24-year-old Jamal Alexander from Brooklyn said, “Old Britney I think is back. This seems more real, more put together. She has the right people behind her now.” Another fans, 23-year-old bartender, Kate Trunkwalter who traveled from Atlantic City, New Jersey, said, “I have never stopped loving her. I always stood up for her when she was going through her rough times.”
