Michael Jackson and Jackson 5

Michael Jackson and Jackson 5 (thesun.co.uk)

Jacko knows how to break a spirit. Well, at least for Jackson 5′s fans spirit…

The King of Pop had stated on interviews that he will not be joining Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito on a Jackson 5 reunion tour. He will support their reunion plan though. Michael’s rep, Dr. Tohme, released a statement from the megastar saying, “My brothers and sisters have my full love and support, and we’ve certainly shared many great experiences, but at this time I have no plans to record or tour with them. I am now in the studio developing new and exciting projects that I look forward to sharing with my fans in concert soon.”

Jermaine Jackson told an Australian reporter a couple days ago that all five brothers were excited about the plan, and even little sister Janet Jackson who is currently still on tour will join them. As Jermaine said, “This has been a long time coming for the Jackson family to get back together. It is just the timing, so what we’ve been doing is working on the music and all the logistics.”

The Jackson 5 shared the stage together on November 2001 for the self-proclaimed King of Pop’s 30th-anniversary special at Madison Square Garden. It was their last act together, but hopefully the reunion will produce more greatness from the legendary group. I’ll keep my fingers crossed!
