As we reported a week ago about Don Cheadle will replace Terrence Howard’s role in the upcoming sequel of superhero movie, Iron Man II, apparently the news was shocking not only for us, but for Howard himself too.

The actor said on an interview Tuesday that he surprised to learn the fact, by saying, “It was the surprise of a lifetime. There was no explanation, (the contract) just up and vanished.” Howard later added explanations from his side about money as the issue, saying the contracts he signs apparently “aren’t worth the paper that they’re printed on sometimes.”

But this Academy-award nominee for Hustle & Flow didn’t wasted so much time bothering about the lost of role James Rhodes, a character that later becomes Iron Man‘s sidekick War Machine. He’s now busy focusing his singing career as he was just released a debut pop album, titled Shine Through It. The album was released in September 2008, heavily inspired by popular soul singers such as Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield.

That’s right, don’t feel too sad. It’s okay… one role down, more will come your way Terrence!
