The X-Files star, David Duchovny had completed a rehabilitation program for sex addiction, as said on Monday by his attorney, Stanton “Larry” Stein.

Stein said in a statement, “David is out of rehab and about to start a new movie. He successfully completed his treatment.” Stein declined to say where the actor had been treated or when he left the center. Back in August, it was also Stein who publicly revealed the actor’s voluntarily admission to a rehab facility for treatment of sex addiction.

Duchovny is the husband of actress Téa Leoni, the couple has been married since 1997. They have two children; 9-year-old daughter Madelaine West, and 6-year-old son Kyd. Duchovny is widely known for his role as agent Fox Mulder in the sci-fi series The X-Files, partnering with Gillian Anderson as agent Dana Scully. He is also a cast with the same role in the two movie versions of the series. His next project is to star in a film called “The Joneses” scheduled for release next year.

In January, 48-year-old Duchovny won a Golden Globe Award as “Best Actor in a Comedy” for his role as Hank Moody, an oversexed single dad and novelist struggling with writer’s block in the Showtime series “Californication”. Hmm… maybe he took his role as an oversexed single dad a bit too serious. But thankfully, he had successfully recovered now. Hopefully there won’t be any other rehabs in the future for you David!
