Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds Officially married

It’s a Canadian wedding for Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds!

As said by Reynolds’s publicist, Meredith O’Sullivan, the cute couple got married this weekend in Canada, Reynolds’s hometown. No further details from O’Sullivan though. According to Us Weekly on its Web site Sunday, the ceremony took place “Saturday evening at a remote wilderness resort outside Vancouver”. Attended by several special people, including Scarlett’s mother, Melanie Sloan, and her brother, Adrian Johansson. And also a few close friends of the couple.

The pair had been together since spring of 2007, not so long after Reynolds’s engagement split from singer Alanis Morissette. Last May, the couple announced their engagement. In an interview last month, 23-year-old Johansson shared her thoughts when asked about her relationship’s future, “We’re just enjoying our time. We’re just recently — very recently — engaged. So, you know, we’re just taking it easy. And no big plan yet. But it’s a good time and we’re just … enjoying our time to be young and engaged”. She then added, “I mean, I’m 23. There’s no reason to rush into it. Everything feels very natural and relaxed”.

Well, apparently she has changed her mind about the ‘no rush into it’ a bit. This is the first marriage for both.

Johansson has starred in “The Nanny Diaries”, “Lost In Translation”, “Match Point” and most recently starred in the Woody Allen film “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.” She also has released an album, “Anywhere I Lay My Head,” cover versions of Tom Waits songs. While Reynolds came to prominence for his role on the TV show “Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place” and his last movie is a romantic comedy “Definitely, Maybe”.
