Oprah Winfrey Lent Her Voice for Animation Movie
Once as a voice of a bee judge in the animation film “Bee Movie,” Oprah Winfrey is reported will participate again as one of the voice cast on a new movie. The talkshow host queen has joined the voice cast of the upcoming Disney animated film The Princess and the Frog.
On Wednesday, while attending a Disney presentation in Hollywood, the chief creative office at Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios, John Lasseter, confirmed about Winfrey’s participation in the movie. Lasseter said that Winfrey will play the character of Eudora, the mother of the main character, Princess Tiana, voiced by Anika Noni Rose.
Besides Bee Movie and The Princess and the Frog, 54-year-old Winfrey has lent her vocal talents to several animated and fantasy films. She also provided dialogs for Gussy the Goose in the live-action Charlotte’s Web.
The movie is set in the French Quarter of New Orleans, and planned to be released in late next year. At the same event, it was also announced that famous composer and music producer, Randy Newman has written six new songs for The Princess and the Frog. Newman appeared in person at the studio’s presentation to perform one of the tunes, Down in New Orleans.
I always love animation movies, and with Oprah plus Randy Newman, my prediction is this movie will definitely be on my must-seen movie list!
