Be more patient if you are one of those people who are eager to hear Britney’s latest single for her upcoming album, Circus.

Actually planned to be released yesterday morning, Britney’s “Womanizer” song apparently had to be delayed, according to label sources, due an undisclosed issue with “the mix”—i.e., not Britney’s vocals, per se, but rather how all facets of the track sound together. An insider said, “The mix was not finalized”.

Producers at Jive Records’ Zomba Label Group are holding the song for at least another week, which means the single’s next release plan is on September 29. Before the single being officially released, a fuzzy 40-second clip hit the Internet last week after an intern at a Nashville radio station recorded the tune while previewing it over the phone and posted the snippet on the station’s website. The brief clip was -of course- promptly removed at Zomba’s command.

Well, another week to hold those curiousity inside won’t be that long, right?!
