‘The Punisher’ got punished this time.

Thomas Jane, who got the leading role on 2004 movie “The Punisher”, has pleaded no contest Tuesday to a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence. He got sentenced to a year’s probation after pleading no contest in Shafter, California. The plea made by Jane through his lawyer, because the actor was not in presence.

Looking back at the incident, “The Mist” star was pulled over on March 17 by the California Highway Patrol for speeding. He was doing 120 mph in his Maserati, and had been stopped twice by the police on Interstate 5 in Kern County. After a third stop, he was arrested for drunken driving, with a blood alcohol level higher than 0.08 percent. 39-year-old Jane failed several field sobriety tests, including a breathalyzer. Not only that, police also said that he was driving with a suspended license.

Beside a year of probation, husband of “Medium” star Patricia Arquette must also pay about $1,700 in fines and attend two alcohol-education classes. Lucky for Jane, two other alcohol and drug charges and two speeding tickets were dismissed by the judge.

Jane could exhale a relief breath now, but hopefully he learned from the incident, and put an end to the behaviour. No more DUI, okay Jane?!
