Usher is hiring his mother as the manager, again.

On Wednesday, mother and son duo made a statement, “Usher has dissolved his management arrangement with Benny Medina and has re-engaged Jonnetta Patton as his manager.” The R&B prince also resigned his publicist, Patti Webster, starting August 1st.

A source said about the re-union, “He wanted her to come back on board and she decided to. He had really poor management and wanted her back”. His weak album sales is one of the reasons Usher decided to reconsider his management.

Medina also giving out statement, “With an artist like Usher, the bar is set really high. Whether it was management, marketing or the music, we achieved a number one single and a number one album. It is a completely new day and time in music now. In four years, his audience, demographic, and musical direction has changed. Records like Lil Wayne’s ‘Lollipop’ are the type of phenomena that ‘Yeah’ was in 2004. I had a great time and we parted ways amicably”.

May last year, Usher and his mom-ager parted ways professionally, rumored as the effect of Usher’s relationship with his stylist, Tameka Foster, which Patton despised. But then after Usher got married and the couple gave Patton a grandson, according an insider, the ladies are improving their relationship positively.

Usher is now a proud dad of 9-month-old baby boy, Usher Raymond V. He released his fifth studio album, “Here I Stand” last May, and the album’s sales a bit minor compared to his “Confessions” album. I guess, not only as a loving mother, Jonnetta Patton has great hands handling her son’s career earlier. Usher definitely doing the right thing to get his mom back on squad. Welcome back Mom!
