Soul diva Patti LaBelle will be honored with a tribute from today’s and fellow soul singer in a special event held in Los Angeles next month.

“An Evening Of Stars” is presented by the United Negro College Fund, who has already held similar event for other music legends, such as Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Quincy Jones and Lou Rawls.

Patti LaBelle is known for her passionate stage performances, she also has a very wide vocal range and distinctive high-octave belting. And the event will have a list of famous singer to honor LaBelle’s lenghty career, from the seniors like Dionne Warwick and Anita Baker, and today’s soul singer including Joss Stone, Dreamgirls’ Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams, and American Idol’s season 3 winner, Fantasia. Brian McKnight and Wayne Brady will also performing.

The event will take place on September 13 at Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, tickets will be made available to the general public. That will be a night full of stars and memories!
