Ben Affleck says his kids Inspires him
Ben Affleck and his wife Jennifer Garner are going to have their third child soon but Affleck is also thinking about his other projects.
Affleck, 39, is the founder of the Eastern Congo Initiative that was initiated in 2010. Recently he got back from his eighth journey to the war-torn area. Affleck feels that his kids, Violet, 6 and Seraphina, 3, are the people who inspire him to do good work in the world.
During an interview Affleck said, “I got to a point in my life where I felt like I had been very fortunate, and I wanted to do something more with my life than just make movies and try to make money. I wanted to do something that was important to me in other ways and would serve as an example to my kids.”
On last Wednesday, Affleck launched a Facebook page and shared pictures and memories from his eight trips to Africa. His nonprofit charity is helping the Congolese-led organizations that are engaged in rebuilding the region.
Affleck further shared his views and said, “The people there are working as hard as they can to make their lives better, and that’s inspiring.”
